Junior Women's Pan American Championship 2 Months Away

The Pan American Hockey Federation announced on Monday the pools and schedule for the upcoming 2016 Junior Women's Pan American Championship to be hosted by Trinidad & Tobago in late March/early April.  Team USA will play in Pool B, opposite the top-ranked defending champions Argentina.  Argentina has won six of the last seven Championships.  The USA is the only country other then Argentina to win the event- they finished first in 2009.  The USA finished third in the most recent championship in 2012.

The top two finishers will qualify for the 2016 Junior Women's World Cup in Santiago, Chile, November 23 through December 4, 2016.

Team USA's final roster for the Championship will be solidified in February.  18 players and 2 reserve players will be selected following the U21 training camp February 12-15 at the University of North Carolina.  During the training camp the squad of 22 players will train and play three of the nation's top college teams: Duke University, University of North Carolina and Wake Forest University.
